I am working by myself on this project
I will need Microbits to complete this project
I plan to create an image to teleport to someone
My project will be able to teleport images to other people
Using Micro:bits, I created a moving goose. I did this because is something that challenged me, and it would help build my computer programming skills. Another reason I created this was because I like geese they're one of my favorite animals.
During this process, I learned how to make an image and program it to do things. I made it move forward and dance. There was also a reset button.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer. It ties to this because I had to program and figure out how to make the goose move.
A challenge I overcame on this project was making the programming stop. The programming kept overlaying with each other so I figured out how to make them clean cut. I also had the challenge of making the duck in the first place.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the ducks moving patterns. I would try and find a way to get rid of the reset button. Then, I would make it do something else like wave.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in Video game engineering and programming.
This is the coding I used to make the goose dance, swim forward, and to reset it all.
This is the coding I used to create my Name-tag. I also added some extra features to present my initials, and my last name.
