Day 1: Today I made a new page called 8p7 and made my list of 10 and planning questions.
Day 2: Today I started to work on my project.
Day 3: Today I started to add more codes to my project.
Day 4: Today I finished my game called Patience.
Day 5: Today I started to make my video.
Day 6: Today I started to work on my reflection.
My final product:
For his project. I have used a couple devices to work on this specific project. One device I had used was using the Adafruit website and the Pc. Another thing I have used for this project was the circuit playground chip. Using all of these devices I had created a game Patience. I decided to create a game called patience because I wanted to test my abilities and skills to see if I am capable of making a code this big. Another reason I created this game is because I thought it would be really interesting because I have never coded a game like this before.
During this whole entire project, I have learned multiple things. One thing I have learned was how to make the circuit playground play certain sounds of music. Another thing I have learned throughout this whole entire project was how to make the lights pop up and go away on the circuit playground. Finally, I have learned one more thing throughout this project. I have learned how to make the game get downloaded onto the circuit playground.
Overall there are 7 main class standards this project could tie to. Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project can tie to Innovative Designer. Innovative Designer connects to this project because before this project, I had to brainstorm multiple ideas for a game so I can make that certain game. Innovative Designer also ties to my project because I used digital tools so I can code certain things onto the circuit playground.
During this project, I had one big challenge. One challenge I have overcame on this project was how to make certain codes work properly. Overall, I was able to overcome this challenge by going over code by code to see if these specific codes will work and operate properly. Another reason I was able to overcome this was making watching a tutorial of how to make certain codes that I don't know how to code. Finally, another reason I was able to overcome this was being able to asking a couple of friends to see if those codes will work fine.
If I had a chance to change anything throughout this project, one big thing I would change would be the game I decided to make. I would change the game because I know that there could be multiple and multiple games out there throughout the whole world that can be a way better game than than the game I decided to code. Another reason I would change the game I made is because I think I can push myself a little harder and make a harder game to code than the one I have made.
Hastings High School’s Career and Technical Education Program offers a wide range of pathways, including Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing. These programs give students opportunities to explore real‑world skills and career interests. My project connects most closely to the Computer Programming CTE program because it involves hands‑on coding and interactive technology.
Throughout the world, there are many careers that involve working with Circuit Playground technology. One job that fits especially well is programming with CircuitPython and MakeCode, since I created several codes that run directly on the device. This role interests me because it allowed me to work hands‑on with sensors, LEDs, and different inputs. It also helped me understand how coding can control real‑world interactive features.
