Day 1: Today I created my 8p5 page and made my list of 10 and planning questions.
Day 2: Today I started to cut out my truck pieces.
Day 3: Today I cut more pieces out for my truck and hot glued the pieces together.
Day 4: Today I made the floors and hot glued them to the truck. I also started to make the trailer for the truck.
Day 5: Today I added the other sidess for the trailer and made wheels and put the wheels on the trailers.
Day 6: Today I made my video and attached the last piece for the trailer.
Day 7: Today I started my reflection and finished my reflection.

Using Cardboard, and cardboard cutting tools, I created a truck and trailer because I wanted to see what kind of creativity I have to make a project like this. I also wanted to see if I have the skills to make a great design so I can push myself to do this project. Over all, I wanted to do this because I thought it would be a cool design to put on a desk or something.
Throughout this whole process, I learned how to hot glue hard parts on the truck. Another thing I have learned throughout this process was how to make a good design of the truck and make the truck. I also learned how to make a cool looking trailer just out of cardboard.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I had to use tons of my skills so I can be able to make a truck and a trailer. Overall, during this project I had to customize a learning environment just to make a cool design with a friend.
Throughout this whole project, I had overcame a couple of challenges. One challenge I faced was that I had to attach certain cardboard pieces to the very bottom of the truck so it can have some support to stand properly. Another challenge I overcame was that I had to figure out what the trailer was going to look like. For these challenges, I was able to overcome them by having a friend hold the cardboard pieces and have them put the pieces on as I am holding the other piece so he can attach it. I overcame the second challenge by asking my partner if we were going to make a car trailer or a basic trailer that can haul fake wood. So we picked a trailer that can haul fake wood.
If I was given a chance to fix something on my project, I would change the design of the trailer. I would change this because I know there could be tons and tons of better designs of cardboard trailers throughout the whole internet. I would also change this because I think I can push myself even harder and add even more attachments to the trailer to make it look way better than it is right now.
Some Hastings High School Careers and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School.
Throughout the whole world there are many jobs that can deal with cardboard creations. Overall, one job that I think best fits in with this project is Corrugated Product Designer because I got to customize stuff out of cardboard. This also ties to this job because my partner and I had to really focus on lots of parts to make this truck look the best it can.
