At Hampton Wick Infant and Nursery School, we intend to deliver Physical Education through an exciting and broad curriculum that inspires a lifelong love of physical activity, sport and exercise. We will encourage the children to develop their abilities to excel in a range of physical activities and understand the importance of leading a healthy, active lifestyle.


Through healthy competition, we will encourage children to co-operate and collaborate with others, understand the importance of good sportsmanship and promote resilience and self-esteem. To encourage positive well-being, we endeavour to teach children to cope with both success and failure in competitive, individual and team based physical activities. 


As a school with our own designated forest, we encourage learning through the outdoors to ensure children have opportunities to be physically active wherever possible.
