Soviet CCCP 5161-57 Slide Rule

This Manheimm type rule was fabricated in the old soviet Union in the 1960's by the Department of Local Industry of Leningrad Municipal Executive Committee, Plant of Computational Instruments. It was fabricated from two wood pieces joined with a metallic strip, -that gives the rule the necessary grip to hold the slider-, covered with white celluloid where the scales are engraved, and crystal cursor with metallic frame.

With the scales: 25cm // K, A [ B, CI, C ] D, L || 1:25 scale rule on the front face, [S, ST, T] on the slider back face, and instructions, conversion tables, and important constant values reference on the back face, this rule was very useful in school, business, and engineering applications.

An engraving at the back face right end of the rule specifies that this item was manufactured in 1966,

A skillful user can use this rule solve the next problems with a precision of two or three decimals
