Aristo-Charvoz Multilog 970 and 870

The Aristo Multilog family was produced in Germany from 1957 to 1970 for the American Company Charvoz-Ross Corporation, fabricated with high grade PVC (Astralon/Aristopal) in two sizes: 970 (12 inches), and 870 (7 inches), plastic cursor screwed to metallic ends and hold with metallic braces the early 970 models (1957-1960), and with plastic cursor ends and braces after 1960. The 870 models had always plastic braces but the early models' cursor was also screwed to metallic ends.

Designed for High-End applications in Science and Engineering, the Multilog family has a powerful set of 24 engraved scales: LL00, K, A [ B, T, ST, S, C ] D, DI, LL0 on the front face, and LL01, LL02, LL03, DF [ CF, CIF, L, CI, C ] D, LL3, LL2, LL1 on the back face. This model does not have the Pythagorean scale P very popular in the Aristo duplex rules, but as counterpart it has eight logarithmic scales and an extra reverse scale: DI. It also has the Rietz over-range scale extensions at the ends of scales A, B, C, and D.

The two rules in my collection, according with the codes engraved on the rules' edges, were fabricated in between 1958 and 1960, so both can be considered early models:
