Dietzgen Basik 1765P

Dietzgen Basik 1765P was produced in Germany by Faber-Castell from the early 1960's to 1972 . Fabricated all plastic body and cursor, this with four gauge lines for HP-KW quick conversions, it is a replica of the Faber-Castell 57/87 Reitz, produced between 1957-1973 (according with the specimens shown by the ISRM). The difference between these two models is the Unit Conversion table plus rule settings, at the back of the 1765P, while the 57/87 back is blank.

The 10 scales in the 1765P made them very useful for students and professionals. The scales on the 1765P are: K, A [ B, CI, C ] D, L on the front face, and [ S, ST, T ] on the slider back. It has also integrated a 10 inches ruler at the upper edge.

According with the numbers engraved on the beautiful specimen shown below, this had to be fabricated by 1965. This rule was one of my first four rules my collection began with.

You can solve the next problems with a precision of two or three decimals using the 1765P:

I have not found the specific User Manual for this rule, but this generic manual can be used:
