Dear Global Jaya Community,
As always, we are so pleased to work in partnership with our parent community. The MYP at Global Jaya continues to grow as we aim to prepare our students for deeper critical and creative thinking in the IB Diploma for years 11 and 12. Part of our preparation for DP is to begin the MYP eAssessments for year 10 students. Global Jaya is very unique that we are leading the IB schools in Indonesia by offering the IB MYP eAssessments. Last year we offered Math and Design ePortfolios. This year in May, our year 10 students will take the Math, English Language and Literature, and English Language Acquisition eAsessements. These exams are created by IB content creators with the aim to have students demonstrate their content knowledge, skills, and conceptual understandings of their MYP courses. We will be hosting a parent information session aimed at year 9 and 10 parents on January 17th in the MPR3. However, all parents are welcome to attend.
Personal Project updates - Year 10:
Year 10 students are hard at work on their MYP personal project products. They finish their criteria B - on the ATL skills by December 13th. Please encourage your child to meet with their supervisor and continue to work on their product. Some questions to ask your year 10 student:
Which ATL skill will you use to develop your learning goal? (Communication, Research, Social, Self-Management, Thinking)
Which ATL skill will you use to develop your product goal? (Communication, Research, Social, Self-Management, Thinking)
When was the last time you met with your supervisor?
How will you get feedback from others on your product?
What can I do to support you with your personal project?
Please check the weekly plan on the GJS MYP Personal Project website to see what they are working on this week.
For questions or more information, please contact Ibu Popy - GJS Personal Project Coordinator - popy@globaljaya.com or Ibu Sue - MYP Coordinator - sue@globaljaya.com

Year 7-9 Global History Day:
On November 28th our year 7-9 GJS students did a fantastic job of creating and presenting their history booths. I was so impressed with our students' ATL skills of research, communication, social/collaboration, self management, and thinking skills. Thank you to all of our students, parents, and Individuals and Societies Department for their hard work and support!
