Happy February to all of our wonderful families! In January, our school buzzed with excitement as numerous classes embraced the outdoors for enriching learning experiences. Many classes embarked on relevant excursions, extending their learning beyond the classroom. Additionally, Year 6 students took a significant step in their academic journey through a thoughtful transition initiative. They crafted questions about Secondary School, which were honestly and thoughtfully answered by Year 7 students. This exchange not only nurtured curiosity but also eased any anxieties our Year 6 students may have had. Please see some of the questions asked below.
As we stride forward from the momentum of January, we are thrilled to share the exciting events lined up for the upcoming month.
Dive into discussions about puberty at the 'Let's Talk Puberty' event on Feb 2, get ready for a splash at our Swimming Carnival next week,, join us in ringing in the Lunar New Year on February 13, mark your calendars for the much-anticipated PYPX on February 28-March 1, and finally, don't miss the adorable Reception Friendship Day and exhibition on March 6. Everyone is invited and encouraged to be part of these enriching experiences!
PYPX: A Journey of Growth and Discovery
We are thrilled to announce the commencement of the PYPXprocess at Global Jaya School. This significant event is a celebration of our students' achievements, where they proudly showcase their understanding of the Primary Years Programme and demonstrate their growth as enthusiastic learners
Throughout the PYPX, our students will delve into a topic of personal interest, showcasing their ability to think critically, communicate effectively, and take action as responsible global citizens. The entire school community, including teachers, mentors, and parents, will play an integral role in supporting our students throughout this process, offering guidance and encouragement as they work towards developing comprehensive and engaging final presentations.
We invite everyone to join us in this celebration of learning, as our students embark on this enriching journey of self-discovery and knowledge exploration during the PYPX.
