100 Days of Kindergarten

In Kindergarten, the 100th day of school is a special occasion marked by engaging activities that mix fun and education. One of the activities involved was introducing the kindergarten students to the concept of 100 using a hands-on approach. The Kindergarten students inquired into the world of numbers by exploring what one hundred looks like and feels like using coins.

The teachers encouraged the students to count 100 pieces of coins to show them the value of the number. The students were given a chance to observe the coins closely. They learned the different kinds of coins in rupiah. After the class had finished counting until 100 hundred, the students were invited to hold 100 coins in their tiny hands. This interactive session elevated students’ excitement as they all showed their best attempt to keep the 100 coins from falling. It was so valuable to see their engagement during the first celebration. 

The celebration continued with handcraft crowns proudly displaying the number 100. But it wasn’t just about the digits; it was also about reflection. The students took a moment to think about what they had become in their 100 days of Kindergarten. The crowns became a medium for their expressions about their own growth – from getting kinder or smarter to becoming happier, stronger or braver. It was a beautiful combination of creativity and self-reflection, showcasing the unique journey each child has embarked on so far. This thoughtful reflection adds a personal touch to the celebration, making the 100th day of school in Kindergarten a truly memorable and meaningful opportunity.
