*** PLEASE BE ADVISED, THIS SCHEDULE COULD CHANGE AT ANY GIVEN TIME. WE WILL DO OUR VERY BEST TO GIVE YOU AS MUCH ADVANCED NOTICE AS POSSIBLE ***

Rehearsal Schedule:

Winds, Guard and Percussion: 5:00-9:00pm

Throughout the week we will spend some time reviewing and refining the material (music and marching) that we covered at spring rehearsals, but most of our time will be spent learning new material. Please plan to be on time every day and prepared to work. Any absence must be pre-approved by Mr. Klee or Mr. Tripp.

From this point on, all marching band rehearsals are MANDATORY and part of your marching band GRADE. In order for us to progress as a group, we really need everyone to be at rehearsals.

What we expect from the members.

We expect all members of the GBHS Marching Band to be a few minutes early to all rehearsals. This is to make sure that we stay with our agenda for the rehearsal and to let you focus on what you are about to do. This is what we call a “quality” rehearsal vs. a “quantity” rehearsal.

When a rehearsal is about to begin, members are expected to be in the assigned block or arc ready to focus. This means that you have come to rehearsal on time, mentally ready to perform, with all equipment, and in proper attire for rehearsal. All restroom issues should have been taken care of prior to rehearsal. This is not to say that we won’t let you go to the restroom, but we’re not going to make a habit of leaving a rehearsal and you losing valuable information.

We expect you to come to rehearsal excited with enthusiasm and hyped for a great rehearsal. We want you to enjoy coming to rehearsal!

What to Bring at Every Rehearsal

Instrument

Chromebook

Pencil

Music Binder

Water container with name on it

Shoes (Good quality tennis shoes, not flip flops)

Any other items your individual section requires.

DOTBOOKS - Traditional vs UDB

We will once again be using UltimateDrillBook (UDB) with our drill this year. It is REQUIRED to download this app and it is free to download. If you do not use UDB, you will be required to write out your own drill book. If you would rather go with the traditional method (writing it in a physical book) you are welcome to do so.
