The Grand Blanc Pep Band is a large group of high school instrumental music students that help promote school spirit at a variety of events around the school. The ensemble primarily rehearses on Wednesday from 3:00-4:30 PM, then calls an hour and a half before games start on Fridays.
The events will start in mid-November and run through late February.
We plan to perform at Boys and Girls Home Basketball games on Friday evenings, as well as select Hockey games on Friday evenings.
Any students enrolled in a Band, Choir, or Orchestra class are invited to participate on their instrument.
1. It is a great way for instrumental music members to get involved in extracurricular activities!
2. The weekly time commitment is small and the season is only three and a half months with, at max, 2 commitments a week.
3. The music is new and exciting! We have updated the Pep Band music book to be relevant for YOU!!
4. You have the special opportunity to help create an exciting game day environment for athletes and spectators.
5. Pep Band is pretty cool!

Q: What kind of music do we play?
A: Funk, Pop, Rap, Rock - anything that is exciting.
Q: I may have some conflicts with a few rehearsals. How does that work?
A: Mr. Wagner will be as flexible as possible to ensure you can be successful and also enjoy the Pep Band experience. If you have more than one unexcused absence from a Pep Band rehearsal or game, you may be dismissed from the ensemble. If the conflicts are minimal, it should be not be a problem!
