WHAT ARE WE LEARNING/HOMEWORK

The children are enjoying reading about the adventures of Peter Pan. Next week they will learn how to analyze character traits by identifying a character's motivations, reactions, and feelings. The children will also learn how to identify point of view in order to compare a character's point of view with their own point of view. Finally, this classic story is rich in metaphors and similes. The students will be determining the meaning of this rich figurative language.

Homework:

Reading comprehension packets are sent home weekly for daily practice.

Next week, students will learn to tell time to the nearest minute using an analog clock. We will also solve elapsed time word problems.
