The  children will continue to read texts about children who face challenges with access to education. They will continue to read research reading books on this topic, and continue to talk in small groups about their books.  The students will continue to practice reading  for the gist, answering questions referring explicitly to the text, as well as  identifying and writing short constructed responses  about the lesson, moral, or central message of a story.  

We will continue subtracting with and without regrouping. Students will need to be able to decide when to add and when to subtract when reading a word problem.  Students will also create scaled bar graphs and solve problems using graphs.
