Next week the children will continue to practice writing paragraphs about the central message of a story. The children will state the central message and prove it by using two details from the story.
Reading comprehension packets are sent home weekly for daily practice.
. Students will have their math end of the 9 weeks district assessment this week. It will cover place value, addition and subtraction, graphing, multiplication and area. This assessment will be a progress/classwork grade in the grade book. Students will work on a multiplication/fall project. When we return from fall break, students will begin unit 3 with multiplying by multiples of 10 and an introduction to division.

SOIL Unit
Students will extend their soil investigation as they explore and explain how water and wind make changes to the soil in their environment.
