Thanks for joining us this year. This newsletter will briefly introduce you to everything you need to know to be successful in this year's challenge. This week will focus on the dimension of physical wellness. Throughout this week, take time to reflect on your physical wellness efforts. Physical wellness encourages participation in regular physical activities which improve cardiovascular strength and endurance, flexibility, and muscular strength. To remain well, physical wellness requires that you take steps towards eating a well-balanced diet, getting plenty of physical activity and exercise, maintaining proper weight, getting enough sleep, as well as avoiding risky sexual behavior, the misuse of drugs, alcohol, and other harmful substances, and limiting exposure to environmental contaminants.


This upcoming week will focus on the dimensions of emotional and spiritual wellness. ​ Emotional Wellness involves feeling positive and enthusiastic about ourselves and life, in general. The spiritual dimension involves the tolerance of values and beliefs of others and participating in activities that are consistent with personal values.

The occupational dimension recognizes personal satisfaction and enrichment in one’s life through work. Financial Wellness involves the process of learning how to successfully manage financial expenses.

Social wellness encourages taking an active part in improving the community by supporting a healthy living environment and initiating better communication with others. ​Intellectual wellness encourages continued learning, and problem solving.
