Welcome to Fulham Cross Academy! We are delighted that you will be joining our Trust and we cannot wait to start developing our relationship with you to ensure that you feel supported in obtaining the best possible education to maximise your success in a personable environment. We understand how important this time is in a young person’s life and we want to reassure you that we will do everything we can to smooth the transition into secondary school.
You will hear from us frequently throughout the process and feel free to contact us if you have any questions or queries. You will see updates on our website and we will also email through to you important information and key dates.
HOW DO WE ACCEPT OUR PLACE AND WHEN IS THE DEADLINE TO DO SO?
You need to accept your place at the school by Friday 15th March. You accept the place via the Local Authority Portal as outlined in your offer letter. Please do this as soon as possible to support the transition process. We will telephone you in the week beginning the 4th March to support this process. Further students will be added to our waiting list on Monday 18th March
CAN I TOUR THE SCHOOL AGAIN OR SPEAK TO A MEMBER OF FCAT STAFF?
Fulham Cross Academy are offering tours every Friday morning from 09.15 - 10.15 am. If you wish to book a space please email Ms Adamson on susan.adamson@fulhamcross.net
WHEN WILL OUR YEAR 6 TRANSITION INTERVIEW TAKE PLACE?
Fulham Cross Academy will be holding Year 6 Transition Interviews on Monday 10th June from 4pm. You will be offered a time slot to attend and you will meet a member of staff who will support you through the process outlining the school expectations and answering any questions that you may have.
SUMMER SCHOOL
Fulham Cross Academy School will be running a programme of activities for our incoming Year 7 students in the week commencing 22nd July. This exciting set of events will enable students to get to know each other, the staff and the buildings of the school site.
Sessions for students will include:
Ice breaker games to make new friends
Team building challenges
Public speaking activities
Sporting tournaments
‘Last night a student saved my life’ First Aid workshop
And STEM focused workshops
The Summer School programme runs from Monday 22nd to Wednesday 24th, 10am until 2pm and is free of charge to all future Fulham Cross Academy School students. All lunches will also be provided on these days.
