PSHE

LGI - EDIT 1

PSHE at Fulham Cross underpins the values of the FCA way, making sure students are prepared for adulthood. We aim to equip students with the skills they need to navigate through life in modern Britain and the wider world.

Starting in Year 7 where students learn about transitioning into their communities and the changes that happen during puberty. Then moving on to money management skills in Year 8, maintaining a positive body image and personal boundaries of consent. As students reach their teenage years in Year 9 we celebrate diversity exploring our diverse national, regional, religious, and ethnic British identities and migration. Our Year 10 curriculum helps students to manoeuvre through ideas of healthy relationships, questioning stereotypes, learning about safe sex and all forms of contraceptions.

Through our students' time at Fulham Cross we continue to travel through all aspects of mental health and wellbeing to support students to grow into well rounded young people. PSHE is taught in a safe environment, where students are encouraged to share alternate views and investigate how they can contribute to building a positive, empathetic and meaningful world.
