COMPUTER SCIENCE

From year 7 we aim to give students a broad understanding of Computer Science based on the national curriculum. We focus on half termly topics from; cybersecurity, CAD, coding activities and computer systems.

Curriculum highlights

Students learn about software engineers and programs and have opportunities to practically explore the computer science curriculum. It is important to provide students with opportunities with access technology, we are really lucky to have many technologies that students are able to have access to (3D printing, laser cutter, CAM router and CAD). Projects and/or themes are linked to real scenarios valuing the education of STEAM related activities and careers that are introduced in a practical environment in the STEAM enrichment afternoon program.
