History

HST.mp4

We aim to create an environment of challenge which hopes to bridge the gap between what is portrayed in the media and what they learn in the classroom. We aim to nurture students who will be equipped with an understanding of how the past has shaped humanity. With an eye to how History has moulded the human identity, whether that be positively or negatively. By the time students leave they will have achieved these aims through being exposed to historical knowledge that goes beyond the National Curriculum. This is done chronologically by tackling world History through in-depth studies interleaved into their studying of British History.

How can the parent help their child with your subject?

Parents can help their students to succeed in History by ensuring that all their homework is completed. Parents should also be encouraging students to read around the subjects. A curriculum reading list is available and should be engaged with.
