Frisco ISD will officially offer two, tuition-free online options for high school students beginning in the 2022-23 school year. Through FISD+ programming, students will have the option to take FISD classes online full-time or as part of their regular high school schedule. An informational webinar will be held on Wednesday, January 26th at 6 PM. FISD+ leadership will go over the application process and answer questions to help your family decide if FISD+ programming is the right choice! Learn more through the website:
Webinar link : Click Here to Register
To report an absence, click “Report an Absence” on the LTHS homepage.
Parents: Report attendance daily online for your student at LTHS Website above, and include your student's ID NUMBER. Please do not call the school with attendance updates.
Be patient. Campuses have a single attendance clerk who is processing notes, excuses, and LTHS emails. An "Unexcused" absence may be entered in HAC by a teacher or sub, but will be changed as parent/doctor notes are processed.
Do not return to school until the authorized return date from your doctor if you are sick.
Learning continues in the classrooms, so students should maintain virtual contact with each teacher via Canvas and Email. FISD does not currently offer online school.
As always, students must check in / check out through the front office when leaving for appointments and returning to school.

Parents, teachers, administrators, and students may refer a student for Gifted/Talented screening during the referral window of January 6-20, 2022.
Secondary campus GT Teachers will take names beginning January 6th, and referral links will be sent to parents/guardians of LTHS students. The links become inactive on January 20th at 6PM, so please do not wait until that day to complete the referral.
High school students identified in the spring of their 9th or 10th grade year will not be eligible to take GT Humanities, however they are eligible to enroll in GT American Studies. FISD offers GT American interdisciplinary studies combining AP Language & Composition and AP US History to 11th graders, so if you are interested in the course contact a member of Campus GT team.
Click here for details regarding the program and screening process.
Trail Blazers! LTHS Student Council is working hard to help our school and student body, and we are excited to share it with you! Check out this week's StuCo Section, our weekly newsletter, to keep up to date with all StuCo things!
If you have completed 3 semesters of Spanish or more, The National Spanish Honor Society is accepting applications online. Contact your Spanish teacher if you have any questions. Current members do not need to re-apply.
Applications are due January 28th by 5:00 PM.
Report Cards have been posted to HAC.
Please login to HAC
Select the Grades icon
Select Report Card tab
If you would like to save a copy of this report card, click the PRINT button in the top right-hand corner of the report card, and PRINT or SAVE for future reference.
Transcripts will be posted on Friday, January 28th.
Seniors requesting transcripts and wanting that transcript to reflect the 1st semester of their 2021 senior year need to select "HOLD FOR GRADES" on the request.
A VOE (verification of enrollment) request for the purposes of driver’s permits and licenses must be initiated by the student in the Student Portal: Click Here VOE Link.
If a VOE is no longer valid, the student just needs to request one again in the portal and enter the current date on it. It is processed automatically through the district and will be signed virtually and sent to the FISD student email and primary student contact.
Responsibilities of Parents/Guardians:
We are seeing extremely high numbers of positive cases, therefore, please err on the side of caution to help us control the spread of this highly contagious illness.
Parents/guardians should screen their students for COVID-19 symptoms each day prior to sending their student to school. If the student has ANY symptoms of ANY ILLNESS they should not attend school.
Covid-19 symptoms include ANY of the following, not ALL: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, and nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.
IMPORTANT: cold and allergy symptoms could also be symptoms of Covid and are what we are commonly seeing right now; most cases we are seeing do not have fever, we have not seen any cases recently with loss of taste or smell
We cannot accept “at home” test results to rule-out Covid per FISD policy; however, we will accept them for positive results.
Please follow current guidelines on keeping your student home when exhibiting signs of illness or communicable disease (See: When To Keep Your Child Home from School)
Parents are required to report to the school nurse as soon as possible if their student has tested positive for COVID-19 or is experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID-19.
Isolation Period for students testing positive for Covid is 10 FULL CALENDAR DAYS:
FISD policy is still 10 full days of isolation after symptom onset (or positive covid test if asymptomatic). Even though CDC guidelines have changed and physicians may be advising you that it is okay for them to return, they cannot return until the full 10 calendar days have passed. This is based on TEA and State Health Department guidelines.
Athletes testing positive (this includes Cheer and Drill Team):
UIL guidelines require athletes to have clearance from a physician prior to returning to participation in athletic activities. This letter of good health must specifically state that a full return to sport/athletics/participation is allowed. This is to ensure that the student does not have any lasting effects of Covid that could put them at risk if they exert themselves too soon.
Click Here for Testing Site Information
TheCOVID-19 testing site at Kuykendall Stadium has closed to make way for a new location with a greater testing capacity.
Due to the large response to the Frisco ISD staff and student COVID-19 testing site, the City of Frisco has offered to allow Nomi Health to move the testing site to Bacchus Park, 13995 Main Street, beginning Tuesday, January 18. Beginning Tuesday, January 18, the new location will allow for a greater testing capacity for staff and students, while causing less traffic issues.
SITE HOURS:
Students: Monday-Saturday 8AM to 3PM
Staff: Monday-Saturday 6AM - 3PM
Students & Staff: Sunday 1PM - 6PM
District staff will have exclusive early access Monday through Saturday, 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. Students who arrive during that time will be turned away.
Please remember, pre-registration is required. Additionally, completing a pre-registration form is not an appointment. Staff and students must also show a school/District photo ID card or parents may show a copy of their child’s verification of enrollment along with a parent driver’s license for the student to be tested. If you did not receive a verification of enrollment form and your student does not have a school ID, please call the FISD technology help desk at 469-636-6222.
Please note the site may have to close unexpectedly without notice due to a worker shortage, lack of testing supplies and the District will no longer email testing site information to families. For questions specifics, you will need to contact Nomi Health at 512-355-0301. Nomi Health offers both the rapid or PCR screening; however, depending on the availability of resources, they may offer only one.
Registration: Appointments are not necessary; however, you must pre-register. Pre-register here. Cost: Free, no matter the insurance. Parents were sent from district a Proof of Enrollment via email for the new COVID testing site. This was sent for all FISD students to parents/guardians. Proof of Enrollment - either the form emailed OR a school issued student ID card- is accepted. We cannot provide them with the Proof of Enrollment document here at the campus level.
