FISD DISTRICT COMMUNICATION: ALL student absences, including those related to COVID, should be reported via "Report an Absence" Tab on our LT website. Email LTHSAttendance@friscoisd.org or “Report an Absence” on the LTHS homepage. Absences are excused if the student has tested positive, has symptoms consistent with COVID-19 as determined by the school nurse or has voluntarily chosen to stay home due to COVID-19 concerns, including notification of a positive case in the student’s classroom. All absences, both excused and unexcused, count toward the state’s compulsory attendance law. When a student's attendance drops below 90 percent but remains at least at 75 percent of the days the class is offered, the student may earn credit for the class or a final grade by completing a plan approved by the principal.
