Country of the Month
Every month, our school focuses on a Spanish-speaking country. First thing in the morning, traditional songs from the specific country are played on the intercom to welcome students. During the morning announcements, a fact about the country is announced for the entire school to hear. At the end of the week, students answer a question about the country by filling out a Google Form. They do this by following a link posted on our website or by scanning a QR code displayed in the hallways. Facts and photos of the Spanish-speaking country that we are learning about are displayed in a bulletin board so that the information is visible to students and visitors to our school. We culminate the study of the country in our monthly cultural assembly. Students from a specific grade level present the country to the school through a unique presentation.
