Maxwell's close proximity to the University of Kentucky (UK) has created multiple opportunities for our students to benefit from unique collaborative projects. Students studying Spanish at UK volunteer in the classroom and provide language supports. Special science and technology demonstrations have been implemented in our classrooms.

High school students from the Spanish Immersion Program (SIP) contribute to Maxwell by judging at our school's science fair and by assisting during cultural evening events . These opportunities enable our current student to utilize the Spanish language with students who spent their first years learning a language at Maxwell!
