If you do not already have a Pinterest account, please create one for this assignment. Use Pinterest and Unsplash to curate images that speak to you Guiding Question(s) and can be used as inspiration for your project.
Exercise 4: Sense of Place at JHS
How can you use lighting, composition, figure and mood on the JHS campus to create a sense of mood? Each of you will take a photo at the same location and with the same figures and props. All photos will be edited in Lightroom, but you will also need to use photoshop in some way to enhance the mood. The three photos should work together to tell a story. Each student should answer the questions below. then sketch your photo in your workbook.
Work in a group and decide the following questions:
What mood are you trying to convey? What is the story?
What is your guiding question?
What equipment/ props do you need to create these photos?
Where will you take these photos?
How will you use Photoshop to exaggerate the overall mood?
Next, you will each edit your own photo, but do so collaboratively. Each member of the group needs to approve your edits. You will then publish all three photos on a subpage on each of your photos. Every photo should have the student's name in the caption.
