Still Life Photography

Directions: Homework Assignment: You will take a still life of each category: Commercial, Natural History, and Narrative. Sketchbook each photo and decide what props, lighting, and staging you might need to create using everyday objects at home. Each photo should feature different subjects. Each photo should be carefully staged with different objects, foods, plants, etc. You want to try to incorporate many different textures and colors. All High Key photographs should be shot entirely with natural light and Low Key Photos should be shot with only one light source (either a lamp or a window). All overhead lights should be turned off. Try arranging your objects using the Golden Ratio. See last year student examples here

For this assignment you will edit your photos using the Lightroom App on your phone. Upload your three edited photos with creative titles to your website and attach a link to the assignment on classroom.
