Rishi Sunak is the current England’s prime minister and he received this title after Liz Truss’ resignation, who is known as the shortest prime minister of England’s political history. As a consequence, he became Prime Minister in a very uncomfortable situation in which the conservative party is really doubtful. He’s married to Narayana Murthy, a software heiress and one of Indian’s richest people. Talking about Sunak’s policy, Suella Braverman, a member of his political party and the current Britain Home Secretary, got criticised for her words during a debate in the House of Commons in which she defined migrants as invaders, in particular the ones from Albania, who are people asked for asylum posing as children. For this reason, they create crime gangs and they caused the majority of Britain’s crime and border problems, in Braverman’s opinion. This declaration started huge friction with Albanian politics.
Anyway Rishi Sunak is the first Asiatic, Hindu and not white skin man who has ever got this title, but his path won’t be easy at all: inflation rise is approximately around 10%, the efficiencies of government bonds are high and statisticians show that the financial crisis is far from being resolved. His solution to this problem is a bloody one, in which he raised all the taxes of twenty-five million pounds, in particular for the highest classes and a cut of thirty million pounds of public spending. Even though England has this crisis, Sunak declared that Britain will constantly support Ukraine until the end of the war and he already sent fifty million pounds for Ukraine defence.
In conclusion, because of his economic decisions and in particular, due to the increase of the taxes, he’s defined as “Tino” which means “Tories in name only”. Even though he descends from Margaret Thatcher’s political party he set high taxes for the richest people who are starting to not believe in their own political party anymore because, as a lot of newspapers and critics say, Conservative party is slowly becoming really similar to the Labour party.
