Millions of people across the UK and beyond have celebrated and experienced the coronation of King Charles III, a once in a generation royale events that combines a religiuos service and pageantry. The grand ceremony, held at Westminster Abbey, was the culmination of years of preparation, starting a new era for the UK.
As the bell of Westminster Abby chimed, King Charles III arrived, dressed in a regal attire, and everybody felt a vibe of a commanding presence which embody the weight of his responsabilities and the tradition of the monarchy. Then, the ceremony started, led by the Archibishop of Canterbury who started to pray and bless the new monarch asking the divine to guide him to the right path. The highest part of the ceremony was the moment when the king took his oath, he placed one hand on the Bible and he swore to protect the realm, to govern with wisdom and compassion and to respect the costitution. At that moment, there was the passage of the orb and the scepter, symbol of his rightful authority. Then the crown was placed upon his head, the crowd cheered loudly, the most famous sentence of the ceremony was said: “God Save the King”, it was the beginning of a new era.
King Charles III expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve his nation. He underlined his dedication to follow the values and the traditions of the other England’s reigns while embracing the challenges and opportunities of the modern world. The ceremony was concluded with a majestic procession with the newly crowned King Charles III followed by the royal family all the way through the city of London, the city was adorned with the Union Jack flags and decorations, everybody was cherring and applauding, showing the affection and loyalty of the people towards the monarchy.
The coronation of King Charles III marked the beginning of a new chapter in UK’s history. With this new wise and dedicated monarch, the nation is looking forward to a future filled with stability, continuity and progress.
