THIS IS A CONTINUATION OF THE "SIMPLE SPEEDLIGHT STUDIO" LESSON.
This next project will use the exact same lighting gear as the Simple Speedlight Studio project:
Light stand
Speedlight
Transmitter & Receiver
Shoot-through umbrella
You will have the option to also include:
a second light
a reflector
PROJECT: PORTABLE SPEEDLIGHT STUDIO
For this variation, you will explore indoor spaces that are not in the studio. So think hallways, Fine Arts gallery, library, stairwell, etc.
Your goal is to capture four (4) images that take advantage of the artistic freedom afforded by using an off-camera flash.
You may use 1 or 2 speedlights & shoot-through umbrellas.
As the photographer, you can direct your model where to stand or sit, how to pose, etc. You can also decide how much of the ambient light you want to reduce or eliminate. Remember that light direction will directly influence the level of drama in your shot.
Shoot in RAW so you can develop your images. If you wish, you can also use Photoshop to improve your image in any way you see fit.
