This project should be able to be completed in ONE day.
You can try any of the three following approaches to this project:
UPDATE: Our version of Photoshop is newer than the one in the tutorial video. One important change is that in order to find the Artistic Filters, you now have to go to Filter > Filter Gallery. From there you'll see the Artistic (and other) collections of filters.
Here's another method you're welcome to try. It's a bit less old-school comic book (no dots) but the line art looks really cool.
PROJECT 7: COMIC BOOK EFFECT
Use a photo that you've already taken OR take a new photo for this project. Or use an older photo of you (doesn't have to be from class).
Follow the tutorial above to create a cool comic-book effect. Create your own text based on what looks good with your photograph.
NOTES:
- Because you won't have admin privileges to download fonts, choose your fonts from those already available in Photoshop. If you really want a special font you found online, your teacher might be able to install it for you.
- This tutorial is based on a certain-sized image, and yours might be very different. Pay attention to the "little dots" step, and know that you will probably have to choose different numbers than those given in the tutorial. Use your eye and find a value that resembles what the tutorial looks like.
UPLOAD YOUR FINAL IMAGE (AS A .JPG) TO YOUR WEBSITE.
