FIELD TRIP GUIDELINES:
Teachers should make every effort to get all trips on the master calendar that is sent to the public. If a trip request must be made during the school year a Trip Request Form is to be completed and turned in to the office for approval or disapproval - this includes ANY TIME students/teachers will be out of the building.
Parental permission slips must be signed by a parent and turned in to the teacher in charge at least one day before the proposed trip as deemed necessary.
When any monies are involved, all money should be collected before the trip. Requests for checks from the office must be made at least three (3) school days before the check is needed.
Field trips should be taken for educational value and should be an extension of the classroom and curriculum being taught. The teacher will evaluate the educational enhancement of that trip and turn the evaluation into the school office upon request of the administration. All teachers should limit the number of times they requests students to miss school to one or two requested trips per year as this has an effect on the workload placed on students other teachers.
