CLASSROOM SAFETY AND SECURITY:
Each teacher is responsible for the security of his/her own classroom. Maximum security may be gained by locking doors at night. Windows on the first floor must be locked at night by the teacher. When using the buildings after they have been locked by the custodian or on weekends, you are responsible for all lights, windows, doors and locks that you have used or that pupils under your supervision may have used. Under no circumstances are pupils to be allowed in the building after school hours without faculty supervision. Keys are not to be loaned to students under any circumstances to any school areas.
No money should be kept in the room. Sponsors should turn in all money to be kept in the vault. When money is ready for deposit, you will be given a receipt for your records. The school will not assume any responsibility for money stolen, unless it is in the vault. Sponsors will assume the responsibility for money under their care that is not turned in. School owned equipment under your supervision must be give careful treatment at all times. Some of you, by the very nature of your department, are responsible for thousands of dollars of equipment. It is your responsibility to see that this equipment is well-cared for and accountable at the end of the year.
