CLASSROOM AESTHETICS:
Classrooms. Classrooms should be kept neat and tidy and presentable to visitors. Personal furniture brought into the building should be cleared with administration. Personal furniture must be clean, neat, and undamaged. All personal furniture will be removed by the teacher who owns the property if the teacher leaves the district.
Classrooms needing painted may be added to the summer work order list. Classroom painting requests will be handled as time permits. Paint color options will be presented to each teacher upon the request of their room being painted.
Textbooks. Textbooks are to be stored in the classroom of the teacher who teaches from them. Textbooks are to be checked out to the students with teachers keeping an accurate record of each book by number. Teachers should insure that textbooks are covered by the student and continue to be covered through the school year. Pupils are to pay for lost or damaged books. Workbooks do not become the property of the student and in most cases should be retained by the school.
Workrooms. Teacher community work areas should be left neat and tidy (i.e. microwaves, refrigerators, work spaces).
