Year 5 students were tasked to build a boat that will float on water and hold as much weight as possible without sinking. Student were encouraged to follow the engineering process and test their design throughout their building process. We also worked on time management. 

The children were tasked with building a rocket ship for their Lego figurine to travel to Mars. 

This week the students was given the opportunity to create a form of digital content of their choice in pairs. They could choose from blogs, graphicn designs, coding, videos, podcasts or digital marketing. 

This week the students build an amasument park using the Lego Spike Robotics. They followed instructions, workedtogether as a team and then adapted and improved the code to make thier rides to different tricks such as making sound, lighting up, spining at a faster speed and in different directions.    

This week the students started their mini project where they are tasked with creating and building their own board game. They will use a range of skills such as painting and digital design, usinig machinery and online design platforms such as TINKERCAD and communication amongst all the team members. Their project will span over 3 weeks. 

This week the year 5's continued to work on their gameboard concepts. They worked together as a team to finish the design of their 3D printed models, gameboard and packaging. They are excited to finish the games next week and play against their friends.
