Term 1
Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to a wonderful new school year! We are so excited to begin this journey with you. Our Year 2 classrooms will be a place where children feel safe, valued, encouraged, and excited to learn.
We look forward to watching each child grow in confidence, make new friendships, discover new things, and celebrate their achievements along the way. To our parents, thank you for your trust and partnership—we are here to support you and your child every step of the way.
Let’s make this a year filled with learning, laughter, kindness, and wonderful memories!
Warmest wishes,
The Year 2 Teachers 💛

As you prepare for the next academic year, please keep these safety guidelines in mind when buying your child's school bag:
Choose Lightweight: Please purchase a lightweight backpack to prevent strain and ensure safety.
No Wheels: For safety reasons and to avoid tripping hazards, bags with wheels are not allowed.
Keep it Light: Students only need to pack their reading folder, lunch box, and water bottle. Textbooks do not need to be carried home.
Thank you for helping us keep our students safe!
Important Information
We will use our Google Classroom, Google Site, Seesaw, Primary Newsletter, communication book and emails to regularly keep you updated with information and some pictures of our learning journey throughout this year.
To make sure the start of the year is a smooth transition for all, we ask that you ensure you send your child to school Healthy and Happy each day. Please find below some more tips to help you:
Label all items (backpack, lunch kit, jacket, shoes, etc.) with your child’s name and class level in permanent ink.
Ensure your child has a set “school bedtime” and “wake-up time.” A good sleep helps improve your child's health, mood, concentration, and behaviour. They should be in bed by 8:00 pm.
Please make sure your child is dressed in the PE uniform during the 2 days of the week on which they have PE lessons (please check your child’s timetable regarding PE days)
Please make sure your child has the following:
A school bag (wheelie bags are NOT allowed)
A Healthy snack (Snack Time is twice a day - please ensure your child has enough healthy food and water for the day. Food items NOT allowed: candy, nuts, chocolate, chips, soda, etc.
Our school’s uniform jacket
A water bottle
Individual labeled headphones
