MEET THE LIBRARY TEAM
Ms. May, School Librarian
Hello! My name is May, and I am originally from the Philippines. I have been with EMS Doha since 2012. I hold a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science and a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education with a major in Library Science. What I love most about working in the library is creating a space where children can discover new knowledge, explore different worlds through books, and develop a love for reading and learning. It is rewarding to see their curiosity grow as they explore stories, resources, and activities. I believe a library is more than just a room full of books—it is a safe space for creativity, imagination, learning, and meaningful conversations.
Ms. Fatma, Arabic Assistant Librarian
Hello, my name is Fatima, and I am from Egypt. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Education from the English Department, and two diplomas in Educational Psychology. It is my ninth year in Qatar, and my fifth year at EMS Doha, where I serve as the Arabic Librarian. I have been in education for over 11 years, with five years spent in my home country and six years here in Doha. I am excited about creating effective learning experiences, promoting literacy, and contributing to the learning community in our school.

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Library and Information Science and have seven years of experience as a librarian in the Philippines. I enjoy working with young students, especially when I get to read stories and engage them in activities. I love connecting with little ones through books, seeing their faces light up, and watching them constantly discover new things.
