Y6 teachers have been working hard to provide an excellent and accessible education through diverse online tools such as apps and websites. Some of these apps involve face-to-face meetings, interactive video recording and audiovisual online research that are necessary for your child's progress. Make sure to check teachers' Google Classroom stream for daily student work.

MEET THE TEACHERS!
6.1 Mr. Frank
Hello, my name is Francisco Suarez Cedeño. I am from Venezuela, located in South America. I do love traveling and watching scary movies. This is will be my 10th year of teaching experience and my 8th year in the Middle East. I am looking forward to another great year in Doha and specially working at EMS. As a Year 6 teacher, I will give my best to make this school year productive, unique and unforgettable. Let the learning begin!

6.2 Ms. Ivy
Hello parents. My name is Ivy and I am the teacher for 6-2. I am from the UK. It is my seventh year teaching at EMS. Prior to that, I taught in London for 8 years. This year, 6-2 will be incredible stars like from the movies! As well as teaching your children, I am very much looking forward to learning from them.

Hello everyone, my name is Aoibheann and I’m the teacher for class 6-3. I am Irish and this is my third year teaching in Doha, Qatar and I am extremely excited for my next few years at English Modern school. I look forward to working with your children and building on their knowledge and also getting to know them on a personal level.

6.4 Mr. Rivaan
Hello everyone! My name is Rivaan Singh. I am from Durban, South Africa. I have a Bachelors Degree in Education with majors in Mathematics and Sciences. This will be my third year of teaching experience teaching within the Intermediate Phase. I look forward to connecting with my class and creating a positive learning environment where my students can be inspired to become leaders for the next generation. We're going to have a great time!

6.5 Ms. Sam
I am Samantha Cato, a primary teacher with 7 years teaching experience. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education majoring in Mathematics and Sciences. I come from a family of educators, so teaching is ‘in my blood’. I made the decision to come to Qatar to teach because I had heard about this wonderful country from friends who had come before me. As an educator, I see myself as a facilitator. The learning process is very dynamic with the students being the catalysts. We will grow together during this journey and I can’t wait to begin!

YEAR 6 STUDENTS' APPS
These are some of the apps mostly used by teachers during the Online Learning Program, besides their regular ones at school.
Google Classroom
Our main school app where teachers post daily work and students will submit their assignments and projects.
Hangouts Meet
This app allows teachers and students meet in real time for Guided Reading and Guided Math lessons with effective face-to-face approach.
G Suite
Students receive and submit assignments on different G suite apps such as Google Doc, Google Slide, Google Sheets. Google Drive, etc.
Google Chat
Another school platform where students will have a quick and easy communication.
Flip
This is an interactive app where students can record short and creative videos related to their daily assignments.
- Parents be aware of your child's activities and assignments posted on their Google Classrooms EVERY DAY. Make sure your children return their assignments on time.

Spelling City
Improve knowledge of vocabulary words with spelling practices from VocabularySpellingCity. Our engaging activities and games help students become efficient in English.
WHAT IS GOOGLE CLASSROOM FOR?
Above is the link that can be used to access Google Classroom where practice at Home will be posted. Click the link and sign in using your child's Gmail Account and Password given by the teacher. On this website, students can read the information or click the appropriate link and complete any given tasks. The purpose of this website is to make practice at home more engaging and enjoyable for your child and also start teaching the students how to use technology more effectively.
You can also download Google Classroom on a phone, tablet, or other electronic device through the app store, allowing students to access this website on multiple devices.
