Cambridge Learner Attributes (CLAs) are key qualities that Cambridge learners are encouraged to develop throughout their educational journey. These attributes help students grow into confident, responsible, reflective, innovative, and engaged individuals.
The five Cambridge Learner Attributes are:
Confident: Secure in knowledge, willing to take risks, and not afraid of making mistakes.
Responsible: Reliable, respectful, and committed to making a positive contribution.
Reflective: Able to learn from experiences and feedback.
Innovative: Creative, curious, and able to solve problems.
Engaged: Eager to learn, involved, and interested in the world.
How Do Students Develop CLAs?
Students develop these attributes by:
Actively participating in lessons and school activities
Demonstrating a growth mindset and resilience
Taking responsibility for their learning
Showing curiosity and problem-solving skills
Reflecting on their progress and using feedback to improve
Teachers observe, encourage, and help students build these attributes across all areas of learning.
How Will Parents Be Informed?
When a student shows significant growth or achievement in these areas, this may be recognised and shared with parents.
Notifications about CLA recognitions will be sent through the iSAMS Parent Portal.
Please check the portal regularly for updates. If you need assistance accessing the portal, please don't hesitate to contact our school secretaries for support.
