My name is Ana Andreea Badita, I am from Romania and I have been teaching KG1 for 11 years in EMS . Together with Ms. Rose ann we will create a learning and safe environment for your child. Dear Parents,

Welcome to KG1! I am very excited to have your child in my class this year. We had a successful and fun week at school!

Please find below some more tips to help ensure a successful year!

School timing is from 7:00 am until 12:00 pm.
Label all items—backpack, lunch kit, jacket, shoes, etc.—with your child’s name and class level (KG1 Starfish) in permanent ink.
Accidents happen! Make sure to send an extra set of clothes (shirt, pants, underwear, socks) - best to be labeled with your child’s name.
Ensure your child has a set “school bedtime” and “wake-up time.” A good sleep helps improve your child's health, mood, concentration, and behaviour. They should be in bed by 7:00pm.
Snack Time is twice a day - please ensure your child has enough healthy food and water for the day. Food items NOT allowed: candy, nuts, chocolate, chips.
PE is on Sunday and Thursday - dress your child in the PE uniform.
A kind reminder: No diapers are allowed at EMS.

Our first week of school.

This is what we learn in KG1 Starfish.

Week 1: Getting to know each other

This week we will help the students to feel comfortable in class, get to know the teachers and help them to know their classmates.

Week 2/3:-My face (self portrait), My body (gender)

-Rote counting 1to 5

Students will use Mat man game and wooden pieces to learn about body parts and will be able to name them. Will be able to practice counting to 5 using counters and counting songs with props. Mat Man song link

Week 4:My family/my house

-Counting objects up to 3.

Will be able to introduce their family to the class through ‘’My family project” , a home project about family where the parents and kids get to work together ,paste pictures with the family members and draw. They will feel proud to show us their family and tell us a little about everyone.

The main story will be ‘’Goldilocks and the three bears’’ and the kids will practice counting objects to 3.
