The President is responsible for Board Management, External Relations & Expansion (BEE), the Supporting Area of ELSA that covers the overall coordination of ELSA work by directing the work of the Board, maintaining communication within the team as well as planning and executing tasks related to external relations and expansion.
Moreover the President represents the Association externally and together with the Marketing Officers takes care of ELSA's image. They also supervise a process of strategic planning and its implementation with the great support of the Secretary General, often initiating and conducting work on long-term and/or cross-functional activities of the organisation. Another responsibility refers to advocacy as Presidents are usually the ones creating strategies for various campaigns.
The most important task, however, is to support the members of the Boards in the performance of their daily duties according to personal needs and expectations and to make sure that every person has a space to use their knowledge and skills.
