Here is what you need to do this week:
Check out this display. We are going to use it to help with our thinking. Don't worry of it doesn't make sense yet. We will be using it in the next steps.
Get out your favorite artwork you have done the entire time doing home learning
Feedback:
Look at it closely. Look for all the things you have done really well in your artwork. Think about what you did to be successful.
Now look for bits in your artwork that you think could be improved. Are there any wonky lines? Could something be coloured in better? Could something be constructed stronger? Is the background looking a bit empty? Is there too much or too little happening in the background?
Feed-forward:
Now you have worked out what you like about your artwork and also what could be improved, I want you to think of what actions you will take to improve your already excellent artwork. Here are some examples of 'what I could improve feedback', and 'what actions I could take feed-forward':
Example 1
Feedback: The lines are a bit messy.
Feed-forward: I could go back over the lines with a black marker.
Example 2
Feedback: I love what I have drawn but don't like the background.
Feed-forward: I could cut out my favorite bit, re-draw my background and past the good bit on top.
Example 3
Feedback: I haven't completely coloured in so no white bits are showing.
Feed-forward: I could re-outline the lines, then re-colour in, completing a section and then move on.
Example 4:
Feedback: The background looks a bit empty, it lacks detail.
Feed-forward: I could add some things like groups of birds to add detail to my background.
It's time for action. Apply your feed-forward to your artwork!
Take a photo of your work, upload it to Seesaw, and BRING YOUR ARTWORK TO SCHOOL NEXT WEEK SO MR. HUDSON CAN CREATE AN IN SCHOOL DISPLAY!!!
Have a great week :)
