Array bingo – partially covered arrays
Duration: 11:16
Get ready:
Each player creates a gameboard using 6 product cards.
Place the array cards in a pile, face down.
Start playing:
Turn over an array card.
If a player has the matching product card on their gameboard, they may turn the product card over.
If both players have the matching product card, they can both turn over their matching cards.
If neither player has the matching product card, turn over the next array card in the pile.
How to win:
The winner is the first player to turn over all their product cards and say ‘bingo!’
Other ways to play:
Swap how the piles of cards are used in the game.
Make a gameboard from the array cards and turn over the product cards.
Reflect:
What strategies did you use to determine how many dots there are in the partially covered arrays?
Were there any arrays which were known facts for you? Which ones?
What strategies did you use for the arrays that weren’t known facts for you?

'The Good Times' – movement
Let's move!
Find a clear space to move in.
Walk (or move) freely around in that space, swinging your arms gently to warm up your body. Try going in different directions.
Think of some different action verbs to create new movements, such as skipping, leaping, marching, rolling or crawling.
Listen to ‘The Good Times’.
Repeat some of these movements while you listen to the music.

'The Good Times' – non-locomotor and locomotor movements
Let's improvise!
Listen to ‘The Good Times’ again, and this time improvise or let the body move freely ‘on the spot’ (non-locomotor).
When the music stops at the end, make a frozen shape. This is similar to a game of musical statues. Focus on using:
low shapes (crouched down)
medium shapes (slightly bent over in the middle)
high shapes (up tall).
Hint! Watch the videos below to help you with these non-locomotor movements.
Repeat the song again, but this time focus on ‘travelling’ (locomotor) movements. Again, focus on using low, medium or high shapes.
Hint! Watch the videos below to help you with improvising locomotor movements.

'The Good Times' – music
Let's sing!
Listen to ‘The Good Times’ track and learn to sing the song.
Hint! The lyrics are below in case you need them.
What do you think this song is about?
How does the music tell you this?
What are some good times that you remember and how do they make you feel?
Think of another song that you might know about being happy or that reminds you of a good time you have had (e.g. ‘If you’re happy and you know it’).
Sing that song and keep the beat.
Think of ways you can use the sound of your voice and use movement to show how you feel when you’re happy.
'The Good Times' lyrics
Verse 1
Sometimes I gotta wake up,
Sometimes I wanna walk out,
Sometimes I wanna do something different with my day.
Sometimes I wanna reach up,
Sometimes I wanna call out,
Sometimes life is directing me...another way.
Pre-chorus
A road can lead you far from home,
Who knows what you’ll find.
Follow the signs and take a new way,
Chorus
Life can be upside down,
Inside out and outside in.
Life can be back to front,
Front to back and round and round.
Life can be on your head,
Out of bed, that’s what I said.
That’s why you gotta make the most of ...The Good Times.
It’s better than just sitting back and waiting in line.
Verse 2
Sometimes I gotta work hard,
Sometimes I wanna do right,
Sometimes I gotta be smart and think of others too.
Sometimes I need to think straight,
Sometimes I need to shape up,
Sometimes life is directing me...another way.
Pre chorus
Dance all night and follow your dreams,
Travel the earth and keep it green.
Follow the signs and take a new way,
Well it’s better than just sitting back and just waiting in line.
Chorus x 2
Life can be upside down,
Inside out and outside in.
Life can be back to front,
Front to back, round and round.
Life can be on your head,
Out of bed, that’s what I said.
That’s why you gotta make the most of...The Good Times.
For those who like a challenge!
Recall and draw as many dynamic words as you can think of. For example, draw some sharp or gentle lines or shapes.
Keep the beat and play along with the music with an instrument or found sounds such as a box or bucket.
