The is actually a rare species of bird that can be found in the amazon rainforest and the name is the Spix's macaw, there are 3,500 species of birds in the rainforest. The rainforest also holds 370 different types of reptiles.
The amazon rainforest holds actually the largest river in the world and a lot of our food and medicine comes for the amazon rainforest. Unfortunately the rainforest is disappearing at an alarming rate and it covers 5.5 million square kilometers. Interestingly a few humans actually live there in the amazon rainforest.
