Agenda and notes
Review of the "Academic Honesty Policy".
Note: Policies should be alive in the school. They state our beliefs, values, behavior and guide us for how to work within the frame of the concept of Academic Integrity.

During class council you had a chance to review and discuss. What is the feedback?
Review:
Organisation/Formatting
Content: too much info? too little? understandable?
"if malpractice takes place" Understandable? Consequences for an official IB summative assessment should be separated from all formative work leading up to it.
Questions or other feedback?
How do your teachers, together with you, work with Academic Honesty/Integrity in the classroom? Is the proactive work something we should detail in the policy?
Proposal: "Academic Integrity" instead of Academic Honesty.
Proposal: more specific links to how the Assessment Policy and the Inclusion policy are related. Even the Admission policy has a clear focus on Academic Integrity. i.e. Academic Integrity is some strong glue that binds aspects of the program together: how can we show that more?
Notes:
Update from the Principal
A. A process map for student influence and a new google form (for use from August 2024)
(see picture below)
Students are OK to start the "new" model with a google form
B. A process map for handling offensive behavior
We discussed the importance to follow the process and not give up.
Updates from each class
IB21:--
IB22:
Hanna will send a list
Request teachers put all tests on Managebac
Trouble with info scattered all over
also summary of grades would be helpful
Will the schedule get better next year?
EOY why all in one week?
Answer: another way to have "mock" exams and experience testing in a week straight
What are consequences of failing a few subjects end of DP 1?
Answer: what do we mean by failing? There are rules to earn the Diploma, 24 points, 12 in HL, 9 in SL, CAS successful, at least a D in TOK and EE.
If a student is considered a full diploma candidate and doesn't perform so well on one or two subjects, they will get a letter from the Principal IF it seems to potentially affect their overall ability to earn a Diploma. The letter purpose is just to flag the possible issue so the student is aware and can put attention to it where needed.
Rules to the get Diploma were summarised and can be found here:
