IB23, how are you feeling?
I hope you are settling in and you feel especially satisfied with your subject selection, especially since the deadline to request a switch in course was the 29th. Remember the goal with starting research into Universities and requesting subjects already from last December was so that by startup there wouldn't be any switches. That being said, we wanted to give one last chance in the first 2 weeks of school to flag if you feel something was definitely wrong. Hopefully it has benefitted you who needed that option.
Any requests that come in now, while we will hear them, are highly likely to not be granted. It would be too disruptive in the learning process to change anything now. (in terms of a subject switch entirely or changing to HL in a subject).
Coming up for you: You know how to check the IB Program Calendar for special stuff? Yes, there are so many platforms to get used to using! Coming up for you is a meeting with DP coordinator during mentor time next week, the wrapping up of the (mandatory) Collaborative Science Project on Wednesday (I can't wait to see what you came up with!) and after that in the next week you'll have your first class council.
I read your questions from the Welcome Assembly and I believe many of those questions will be answered in due time within your subjects/lessons. If you still have a burning question regarding our policies, please feel free to Vklass message me directly.
Please note:
We have had an organisation change for Swedish B which *might* have affected some of your schedules. You have kept all of the subjects you wanted, but you may have been assigned to a new group in Swedish B or English Lang and Lit. This was necessary to ensure an improved concurrency of learning for more students. Thank you for your understanding and if you notice a small change in your schedule, that could be the explanation.
I have also been reviewing mentorship and ensuring your mentor is also your subject teacher and you may see changes there too.
