Spring break coming up April 14-21

Drug search carried out with drug-sniffing dogs. The dogs reacted strongly to some sections of both South and North buildings. The dogs also reacted to a section of lockers where IB students are assigned in North. As the dogs only indicate a possible presence and did not indicate any specific locker, I cannot follow up more than to inform and remind you about our Drug-free school policy. This can be found under "Document" in Vklass. If you as a student have a question or concern about drugs, you can contact any Mini-Maria Göteborg office, they provide information, counselling and treatment for youth and their family if needed. See www.minimaria.se for more information.
Our program has a CAS club for European Youth Parliament. After making it through the regional sessions, our dedicated EYP Hvitfeldtska students headed to to the National Session, with hopes of securing a spot at the International Session! While we’re sad that Gitansh and Kaan from DP1 couldn’t join this time, Anshika and Shayaan have stepped up to fill their places. The team representing was thus Mohammed, Manasi, Anshika, and Shayaan from DP1.

As part of their preparation for final exams, the DP2 English A Literature students visited Bio Roy to watch a screening of Shakespeare’s play Macbeth. This new production, directed by Max Webster, was filmed live in London especially for the big screen, and featured the well-known actors David Tennant and Cush Jumbo. It helped us consider the interplay between written text and performance, a key feature of drama.
Here you have some pictures from physics students' meeting with Dr.Simon, where we discussed how to tackle revision time and the best method to prepare for the final exam in April-May. At the same time, we also evaluated the journey we have taken for the past two years and how the whole teaching experience has been in the physics department here at IB Hvitfeldtska. It was truly a great experience and also a good opportunity both for us students and the teachers as it allows both of us to express our perspectives on the whole teaching process which allows both the teacher and students a better way to teach the course.
Thanks to Alex for taking "action shots" of the IB Visual Arts Exhibition! The exhibition truly showcased our students' talent and was a real treat to see.
