What is mental health?

Our mental health is a state of wellbeing. We often refer to our mental health as mental or emotional wellbeing. It enables us to:

  • know our abilities and potential

  • cope with the everyday stresses of life

  • work productively

The state of our mental wellbeing is not fixed, and might move along a spectrum between minimum and maximum throughout our lives. This site is designed for you to understand more about mental health, and how to support your young people to look after theirs among the challenges that life inventively throws at us all!
