In my senior year, I’ve grown as a caring and compassionate person by learning to appreciate diverse perspectives. During INCubatoredu, my group included people with very different opinions and working styles. At first, it was hard to agree, but I realized our ideas were stronger when we combined everyone’s input. Listening to my peers’ perspectives helped me grow as a teammate and reminded me that respecting differences builds trust and creativity.
I’ve also worked on cultivating physical and emotional wellness. Senior year has been stressful with college applications and advanced classes, so I’ve had to be intentional about balance. I make time to exercise, rest, and reflect, which has helped me manage stress and stay positive. I also check in with friends who are going through the same challenges, encouraging them to take care of themselves too.
Together, these experiences have shown me that compassion is not only about kindness—it’s also about valuing differences and making sure both myself and others have the support we need to thrive.
