When I first started 9th grade at e3, I realized that part of being successful isn’t just about academics—it’s also about how you treat the people around you. I tried to contribute to a culture of caring and belonging by helping classmates who were new to the school feel included. For example, during group work in Advisory, I made sure everyone had a chance to share their ideas and I encouraged quieter students to join in.
This experience taught me that small actions can make a big difference. Something as simple as listening, inviting someone into a conversation, or checking in with a classmate can create a more supportive environment. Being a caring and compassionate person means not only focusing on my own success, but also helping others feel like they belong.
