SAY IT WITH BLOSSOMS - FLOWER DECORATION

Flowers are one of the many mesmerising gifts nature provides us with. ‘Say it with Blossoms’ - a flower arrangement competition was held for Grades I-IX on 9th December 2020 to enhance the creativity of Dipsites.

The effort the students displayed during the activity was impressive, and it resulted in an array of breathtaking pieces of creativity.

The floral arrangements were evaluated on the basis of the idea, theme, creativity and presentation. Students spoke about the different flowers used and their specialty. The beauty of roses, the eye-catching arrangements of marigolds, dahlias, tuberoses, were just perfect for all of us to appreciate nature's gifts for us.

‘Expressions’ - Making a Greeting Card

To mark the festive occasion of New Year and Christmas, 'Expressions’ - Greeting Card making activity was conducted for students of Grades I to IX on 23rd December 2020. The theme For Grades I-II was ‘Birthday’, for grades III-V it was ‘Thank you card’, for Grades VI-VII it was Christmas and for Grades VIII-IX it was ‘Get well soon’. Students used pop up card making techniques to give the card a 3D effect.

The cards were judged based on design, materials used, skill and presentation. The cards were decorated with various materials such as stickers, bindis, lace, kundan work, beads, metallic paints, glitter powders, sequins etc.

The response to the event was delightful; each card was unique and beautiful showing the interest and creativity of each student.

The Three best cards from each class got prizes.

The competition aimed at promoting creativity and self-expression among students.
